Bento

Here it is - one of my favorite things crafted:
I was in a Bento swap on Craftster.org and I sewed a really cool, roll-up placemat that can hold utensils. I thought it was neat anyways. Plus Kara didn't help me - she was already gone :-)

I am a super beginner sewer.

My garden(s)

I call it my garden.... it's multiple garden beds. I try to be semetrical and pretty and functional... I generally fail at all. Well, maybe not the symetrical part ;-)

So I have three 6' x 6' garden beds along the back of my house then several smaller beds and I am in the process of building 2 5' by 3' beds to line the side of my back yard. I have a banana plant, a meyer lemon tree that smells amazing right now, a key lime tree, and an Orlando Sunburst Tangeringe tree that doesn't grow but is still hanging in there for 2 years. I think I've had my garden for 3 years now. Amazingly the first season was the best. It seems like it is either too hot, too wet, or too cold (yes, this year even SWFL got pretty cold!).

I have many more pictures that are probably better but not on this computer. I will post more to come.

Neglected Blog

Wow - it's been over a year...

Well I want to blog more and I was inspired by a blogger who blogs about her garden. This blog won't strictly be about my garden but why not post about it since I am passionate about my garden. Well.... I do not have a green thumb so I would call myself a brown thumb gardener but if you are interested out there in cyber-space I hope to post more about my life, crafting misadventures, and gardening mayhem.
